Antwerp Zoo
Zoo in Antwerp is considered one of the first zoos in the world. It was founded in 1843 with the support of the Royal Zoological Society. Today at the zoo live 770 species of animals, about five thousand. Every year, here comes more than a million people.
In the Antwerp Zoo has open enclosures, swimming pools for penguins and otters, a planetarium, an aquarium, a paddock for the birds. The zoo can be seen show trained sea lions.
