Belfort van Eeklo
Belfort is located in the Belgian province of East Flanders, in the central square in Eeklo. Tridtsatipyatimetrovaya tower was built in 1930-1932 years. Arch over the entrance to the tower traditionally decorated acorns, which is found on the arms of the city. City Name Eeklo associated with the word "oak".
Belfort in Eeklo was built in memory of the victims of the First World War. In 1985, forty years after its liberation from Nazi invaders, here carillon installed in honor of this event. By tower adjoins City Hall Eeklo.
Together with other Belgian Belfry tower is a World Heritage Site.
